The REHERIT 2.0 project initiates the development of the concept of a mobile tourist information center in Uman. We invite active young people who want to join the development of the idea and are ready to introduce the city to the public.
The idea to create a mobile tourist information center (TIC) in Uman originated during the implementation of the first ReHerit project in 2018-2021 among those who worked on the tourism development strategy for the city of Uman. The strategy is based on the vision of tourism in the city as a tool for promoting its rich multicultural heritage, which can be found in different parts of the city. This is how the idea of a TIC emerged, which will change its location from time to time and complement the work of the stationary tourist information center.
The REHERIT 2.0 project is supported by the European Union, in particular, to develop the idea of combining the locations of a stationary and mobile TIC. The first step towards the creation of a mobile tourist information center will be a workshop to develop the concept and spatial solutions.
The workshop will be held in three stages with the involvement of the Kharkiv School of Architecture. It will use the approach of the Kharkiv School of Architecture’s Spatial First Aid Kit project. For four weeks, students of the Kharkiv School of Architecture will develop a series of universal inclusive spatial interventions for the needs of the future mobile TIC.
We invite young people from Uman to participate in the first and third stages of the workshop. These stages of the workshop will be held in Uman and will include getting to know the city, studying the needs for the development of infrastructure for informing city guests, and discussing potential solutions.
Dates of the workshop:
- Stage I in Uman: June 30 – July 6, 2025;
- Stage II in Lviv: July 7 – July 20, 2025;
- Stage III in Uman: July 21 – July 26, 2025.
The number of participants is limited. Preference will be given to students and young people who are already involved or seek to join the development of tourism in Uman.
Applications are accepted until June 22.
